JustFilms hosted a panel discussion on "The Return", a documentary examining California's reform of its incarceration problem with 2012 amendment to the "Three Strikes Law" through the eyes of those on the front lines—prisoners suddenly freed, families turned upside down, reentry providers helping navigate complex transitions, and attorneys and judges wrestling with an untested law.
Panelists included filmmakers Kelly Duane de la Vega and Katie Galloway, film subject and representative of The Return Project Kevin Bilal Chatman, and Vivian Nixon from College and Community Fellowship.
