We are so lucky to have a dedicated team of volunteers working for the Air Ambulance service. From helping to run our stores nationwide, to working in the depots or getting involved in the offices, our volunteers do amazing work for the charity.

In 2017 our volunteer’s time was worth at least £1,312,437 to the charity. That’s equivalent to 937 local air ambulance flights!
But it doesn’t stop there! We also have volunteer fundraisers, these volunteers are based in the community and are tireless in their efforts to raise money to support their Air Ambulances. We have 177 volunteers logged as raising funds in 2017. These volunteers raised everything from £5 to a staggering £72,342 over the year!
Our volunteers spend considerable time building relationships in their community to place and maintain collection tins, last year these tins raised £180,248. Bucket collections raised £64,456 and volunteer events, talks and stalls raised £91,046, these events also raise a huge amount of awareness for the charity locally and our mission.
All together our community volunteers raised £290,690 across the charity. That’s the equivalent of 207 local air ambulance flights, and that doesn’t include their time.
