My visit of Keukenhof, world famous spring flower show in Lisse, The Netherlands. (23/03/23 - 14/05/23)
This yearly event attracts millions of visitors from all around the world.
7 million bulbs are planted by hand! Not all at the same time, obviously, but that is also the purpose. After all the goal is to show blooming tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and other bulb flowers during the 7 weeks the event is open to the public.
So on my visit on 24 April, some varieties were done blooming already, but others were still not opened up yet.
Part of the petals are collected, because they're in demand for a variety of festivities and celebrations, weddings for instance.
