Holub's Golden Weaver (Ploceus xanthops) are among the larger yellow weavers. You will recognize them by their bright eye.
They occur in bushland mainly near water in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and further West and South.
Even while not breeding they live in pairs and are not among the social weavers.
During breeding season the male has an orange throat.
