A green sturgeon, considered to be a threatened species under the federal Endangered Species Act is alive, despite having been poached from the delta water near Tracy and kept out of the water for an hour-and-a-half. California Department of Fish and Wildlife said the green sturgeon, which measured over five feet long and was roughly 25-years-old, was caught illegally by a fisherman near Clifton Forebay.
