A customer came in with dpf light on and as you will see this vehicle has covered 195k miles and recently been doing a lot of short journeys The only fault code was duration of dpf regen. I personally don't like doing forced regens as it can end in tears if not done correctly. a quick 13 miles test drive after draining oil out of the engine as it had risen due to failed attempts. it wasn't heavily blocked but enough to need a regen.
car is now driving as it should and with a bit of knowledge the customer is not out of pocket and the car is now having an oil and filter change.
