In the famous "Apocalypse tapestries" Louis of Anjou commissioned in 1373, it is said that Edward III is depicted as a demon followed by his five sons. The English expedition into southern France laid the groundwork for the upcoming offensive a year later, which would culminate in the famous Battle of Poitiers (1356).
