(3 Sep 2019) Mike Pence arrived for lunch with the Irish Prime Minister at Farmleigh House on Tuesday as part of his first official visit to the country as US vice president.
Accompanied by his wife Karen, Pence was greeted by Taoiseach Varadkar and his partner Matthew Barrett.
Earlier, Pence began the second day of his two-day visit to Ireland by meeting the Irish President Michael D Higgins and his wife Sabina at their official residence, Aras an Uachtarain, in Dublin.
The Pence family travelled to Dublin from Shannon Airport on Air Force Two on Tuesday morning after spending their first night in Doonbeg, County Clare, where they stayed at the Trump International Golf Club.
