🪷 In the second Ashtapadi, Sri Jayadeva beautifully describes Sri Krishna's appearance, virtues, deeds and glory. 'Shrita kamalā kucha-mandala' literally refers to Krishna taking shelter in the lotus-like bosom of Radha, figuratively meaning He lives in Her heart, which is filled with unconditional love and surrender towards Him.

🪷 Sri Jayadeva extols Lord Hari as One who destroys rebirth, dwells in the hearts of sages, defeated the poisonous Kaliya, Madhu, Mura, Narakasura; He who entertains the Devas, sits on the Garuda and is the lotus of the Yadu clan; the One who lifted the Mandhara mountain and takes care of all beings.

🪷 He describes Hari as the One with lotus-like eyes, beautiful as the rich new cloud, whose face is likened to the moon loved by Chakora birds. One couplet refers to Rama, his unwavering love for Sita and his victory over the ten-headed Ravana.
