In 2000, when Pope John Paul II established the second Sunday of Easter as Divine Mercy Sunday, he called it “the most joyful day of his life.”
Now, twenty years later, the Church celebrates Divine Mercy Sunday once again — and this year, more than any other, we cling to the promise of Christ’s mercy and His peace in our lives. As FOCUS National Chaplain Fr. Martin Latiff, M.C., reminds us, “It is a peace that can be there even during challenging times.”
It is our hope that, on this Divine Mercy Sunday, you may rest assured in the peace of Christ and be blessed in His mercy. We hope you will continue to keep our missionaries, students and all those we serve in your prayers.
