How you want to get from where you are now to where you want to be? The next events are coming up soon February, March, April , May, June, July, August, September, October, November and December. [ Ссылка ] This is held at various locations such as the Premier Inn, Brighton and the Holiday Inn, Wembley, London. This is a one day workshop for 120 attendees, who will attain a good understanding of setting up and starting a nursing agency.
This year, we have seen a lot of changes in ensuring that agencies are able to meet the needs of providing a service to healthcare organizations, like care homes, NHS trusts and private hospitals, across the UK.

The changes I am referring to are:
- The Care Certificate, which was introduced in April 2015
- The Nurse revalidation, which came into force in October 2015
- The price caps on agencies’ charging fees, which was introduced in November 2015, and will be reduced to 55% April 2016

I see this as a great opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises to start a nursing agency. The EU Procurement directive enables small and medium-sized enterprises to apply for lower value contracts. This has created a level playing field for small and medium-sized enterprises to approach the NHS contracts, by expressing an interest.
Where do you fit into all of this? Do you have what it takes?
Running a nursing agency is not an easy task, it involves hard work and dedication. The majority of my clients are nurses, healthcare workers, care managers, social workers, Solicitors, Teachers or have come from a background of care in one form or the other. Although coming from a caring or nursing background is not a requirement to set up and run a nursing agency.
Some of the requirements
1. Be passionate about helping vulnerable adults and children, patient quality is central to everything we do when running a care nursing agency.
2. Be prepared for long days, up to 12 hours a day, ensuring day to day tasks are completed.
3. Be on call out of hours, in case of an emergency like staff illness, accident etc.
4. Sacrifice social evenings with friends or family.
5. Keep motivated to enable you to focus on the tasks at hand.
6. Leadership, management, nurse, carer, teacher, legal compliance and Director rolled into one.
7. Good communicator, being able to communicate face to face, as well as over the phone.
8. Good listener, understanding your client’s needs, when providing a service.
9. Be honest, trustworthy.
10. Be flexible at all times, being able to change direction at a moment’s notice.
If you are wanting to start a nursing agency to make lots of money, then you are missing point one above. The first thing is wanting to start a nursing agency, is to have a caring nature, Helping vulnerable adults is an important reason to start a nursing agency. Of course we need money to survive, but the money will follow, when providing a quality service. This is a profitable industry, providing the work is put in place.
