NSW Aboriginal Land Council has submitted interventions and connected with First Nations communities from around the world at the 2023 UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues in New York.
The delegation including Councillor for the North West Region, Anne Dennis, Councillor for the Central Region, Grace Toomey and NSWALC CEO, Yuseph Deen have submitted interventions on First Nations culture and heritage rights, “Indigenous Peoples, human health, planetary and territorial health and climate change” and to give Indigenous women the power to voice their opinions, to make their own decisions based on free, prior and informed consent, and to be self-determining.
