The two-day early voting period for next Wednesday's local elections has just come to an end.
Without prior registration, voters could head to the polling stations on Friday and this Saturday, if they are unable to make it on Election Day.
As of 5 P.M., one hour ago, ... voter turnout stood at well over 10 percent.
Ji Myung-kil reports. More than 4 million Koreans have made use of the two-day early voting period to cast their ballot ahead of the actual Election Day on June 4th.
The early voting system was first adopted at by-elections last year... but this marks the first time citizens have been able to exercise their voting rights in advance of local elections.
Voters could stamp their ballots between 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at any of the more than 3-thousand 5-hundred polling booths without prior registration.
