Edith Friedlander (nee Kauefler) was born in Vienna in 1922. After the Anschluss of Austria, the family moved to Prague. In May 1942, she was deported with her mother to Theresienstadt. Shortly after, both women were deported to Auschwitz, where Edith’s mother was murdered. Later, Edith escaped to Prague. She stayed in Czechoslovakia until 1947, when she immigrated to the United States. In this video, she recalls how one of her father's closest friends became a Nazi. [ Ссылка ]
