Here’s a few pics of my old ‘64 Rickman Metiese. I sold the Commando in the first photo and bought it off a mate as I always had my eye on it.
It was the coolest bike I’ve owned (as confirmed by Steve McQueen!). It was a 500cc tiger engine and pre unit BSA box (if I recall correctly). It ran really well and made a beautiful noise as you would expect. I only wish I had some video of it! I later sold it to buy a new Triumph Bonnie scrambler that was a bit more user friendly for the sort of riding I was wanting to do.
