It will! And wonderfully too! Here are our suggestions:
1. One If you're thinking of travelling with a pillion regularly, invest in a basic carrier rack, saddlebags and a tank bag. The rack's job is to prevent the saddlebags from making contact with the wheels. The saddlebags should give you storage without robbing your pillion of a seat (plus the rack behind them). The V-Strom SX's spacious cockpit should allow a decent sized tank bag to take care of on-the-road doodads and heavy things. Do consider SW-Motech's Tank ring or equivalent style of tank bags versus strap or magnet styles. They're more secure and less likely to damage the paint.
2. Most firm seats last forever and need no help except some time to settle in. Do not alter the seat without spending 4-5,000km with it.
3. Learn to slow down less for bumps - The Suzuki seems to work better if you do.
