First ever attempt at initiating a controlled oversteer - with the exception of sliding my father's 95 ls400 at the time in a snowy parking lot momentarily years prior. I had up to this point spent hours and hours messing around with driving sims (merely console based ones but imo still provide the right experience) with a Logitech g27 steering wheel, and it was finally time to put my knowledge to the test. Before I even had the steering wheel, as a younger kid I would watch countless in car footage videos of Nürburgring laps and how to drift videos. I remember watching a drift instructional video that showed a slow motion footage on repeat over and over just to try to comprehend why and how the car was reacting the way it was relative to the driver input. All those hours spent seemed to pay somewhat of a dividend when things started clicking using a steering wheel, and this was the next step.

Footage captured is actually the second go around when we decided we should film. First time around was actually much smoother. It only being my second time ever and from not wanting to mess up in front of the camera, my nerves creeped up and you can tell in this second go I behave almost systematically, where I first give throttle to lose grip, and only afterwards then adding steering input to correct - which I think shows that I understood what would happen and how it worked, but lacked the actual experience to put it together in its entirety. Pretty fascinating. Not only that but thinking now I guess there is this car's own distinct characteristics to take into account as well.

The feeling that I had the ability to do this, to connect the dots from all the prior "experience", I remember it being incredible.
