The fight over mandatory vaccination at work continues to heat up and Prime Minister Scott Morrison and National Cabinet have been urged to clear up the confusion.

Businesses have argued they are being left at the mercy of the courts when it comes to decisions to make the jab mandatory.

ACTU Secretary Sally McManus has said the confusion is a recipe for division between workers and their employers.

Food manufacturing giant SPC has become the first test case after they made it mandatory for staff to have the jab by the end of October.

However, they are now in a very public brawl with the unions as to whether the workplace mandate can be allowed to take place.
