Instead of snails in garlic butter, shrimp in garlic butter is so much better. With some Havarti cheese and garlic butter, very little foods taste as good as this easy dish.
For 2 escargot trays:
12 shrimp or 6 very large shrimps cut in half with shells and tails removed and “vein” removed
1/2 Cup Havarti cheese, shredded
2 tbsp. Butter
2-3 Garlic cloves or 2 tsp munched garlic
Crusty loaf of bread
Put small pat of butter in each well of the escargot tray.
Add 1/4 teaspoon of garlic in each of the wells.
Add a shrimp curled up in each well.
Cover with cheese.
Broil on HI for 3-10 minutes. Check after 3 minutes to verify shrimps are not burning.
Remove and let cool off for 5 minutes.
Dig in and enjoy with bread.
