Today is the start of a miniseries all about growing loofah gourds! Loofahs (also spelled luffas) are a unique plant whose fruit develops a fiber that dries into a useable sponge. They can be used as-is as a kitchen or shower sponge or used with diys like soap making. Loofahs are a fun and rewarding plant to grow, and I hope this miniseries inspires some of you to try growing your own sponges!
