In this presentation, function curriculum is explored in detail. Educators will get a look at an overview of function curriculum, some of the components of functional curriculum, and how it integrates into an educational setting. Some of the individual topics explored here include independent living skills, activity direction learning, direct instruction for functional curriculum, teaching generalization skills, jobs training, math and reading integration, communication and social skills, general education curriculum and special education curriculum, as well as community participation. This professional development training is designed to help educators further their knowledge for classroom teaching and instruction purposes.
