Not sure what to call it. It is the Aerotwin version of the Aerodynic with an added feature.
The bar started as a 24 XQ. I removed the speaker section to make it a 25. The dome configuration made it great to add a pair of work lights in the center section.
Now the twist... I added one of the smart features used in a Jetsonic to make this a smart bar.
I guess I'll call this my AeroTwinJet!
The Federal Signal Aerodynic lightbar was made in several versions and lengths with many many factory customizations available.
The standard version had one motor and connected the rotating lightheads with gears.
The Aerotwinsonic or Aerotwin version used the guts from a Twinsonic lightbar but had different base mounts for the internal parts.
The ADL used independent rotators.
The Aerohawk was the name given to a 72 inch bar with independent rotators.
And the last of the standard bars was the ADX, the LED version. It used the Solaris lighthead and stacked them 2 high inside the bar.
Although they stopped making these bars, you could still order new domes up until this month. They would typically set you back about $600-$800 per half depending on length but were still available years after production of the bar ended.
