In this video, I will share the irrigation scheduling or water requirements of mustard crop. Mustard or Raya crop needs less water as compared to other crops such as wheat, peas etc.
Crops irrigation time and number depends on soil types, weather conditions and crop growth stage etc. In normal fertile soils, first watering is done 30 to 36 days after sowing. Second irrigation is applied on flowering stage. Third irrigation is applied on pods development stage. Fourth irrigation may also be needed on grains development stage. Canola crop takes long duration as compared to raya crop so it may require one extra irrigation.
