Here's the full Clams recipe:
The BEST Way to Cook Clams, Amêijoas à Bulhão Pato!
Servings: 2
Time: 15 minutes
THE GOOD STUFF YOU NEED:
- 50 ml olive oil
- 1 handful of fresh cilantro
- 300 g clams
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 cup of white wine
- 1 lemon + zest
- Salt
- Black pepper
HOW’S IT COOKING:
1) Add the clams in a large bowl and cover them with ice cold water for an hour before you rinse them for sand by using your hands to stir the bowl.
2) Once clean, drain the water and you are ready to cook.
3) Peel and chop garlic roughly and chop the cilantro even, with stamps.
4) Heat a pan or a wok with olive oil.
5) Once the olive oil is hot, you fry the garlic until golden, then splash in the cilantro and salt.
6) Give it a quick stir and add the wine.
7) Now add the clams and cover the pan with a lid for five minutes.
8) Once all the clams have opened up they are done and you are ready to plate.
9) Perfect your dish with black pepper, chopped cilantro and lemon zest.
10) Cut the lemon into a boat and arrange on your serving plate.
11) Enjoy the dish with toasted bread of choice and cold glass of white wine!
