While he has tried to downplay it during the primary, Mitt Romney has an affinity for France and French culture. He carried out his Mormon mission in France and ever since he has had a preference for all things french. Its funny how much he has tried to downplay it during the Republican primary (Republican voters aren't the most receptive when it comes to european cultures). Usually being bilingual would be an asset, but in this case it hurts him. Makes it much harder to slam Obama for taking "exotic" vacations when Mitt Romney clearly enjoys taking vacations in Paris.
