When I started this channel, I had very little expectations for it, I thought maybe 10-15 people would watch my videos and if one would get something out of them, I’d be happy. It’s absolutely surreal to me that 1000 of you have now subscribed to this little channel. I can’t thank you enough and I hope I can keep the videos interesting.

To me the most enjoyable aspect of the channel has become the community, that has developed in the comment section, with a lot of fellow aviation enthusiasts, sim enthusiasts, helpful feedback, useful criticisms, suggestions, questions and personal stories. Thank you for that!

I thought a fun way to celebrate would be to get one of my favorite aircrafts in MSFS out, the fantastic Antonov An-2 “Auntie Anna” by AT Simulations. In my opinion it’s still one of the best aircraft out of the Local Legends and Famous Flyers series and the one I fly the most. It’s also after the Ju-52 the second aircraft that really got me hooked to aviation and especially vintage aviation, when I still was in kindergarten.

I know I’ve done an aerobatic video with it already when it was released, but since then I spend quite a few hours with it and hopefully can do its fantastic flying qualities more justice. I hope you can excuse another An-2 video and hope it’s not too boring.

Yes, it’s probably not the most suitable aircraft for aerobatics, but it’s a lot more capable than one would think looking at it. There aren’t many aircraft that can fly seemingly at walking pace and then do a loop a few seconds later.

For the location of this flight, I choose Compton Abbas by Burning Blue Designs. It’s a really picturesque place in southern England, with a lot of great classics on the flightline, like the Spitfire, Stearman or T-6.
