The tables turn on Amanda because I get sent the new Hasselblad XCD 20-35E lens to test out. Where better to test this ultra-wide zoom lens than ICELAND!
Join us on a spectacular road trip where I give you a taste of things to come with four world-class landscape photography locations in Southern Iceland.
This Iceland road trip is filled with spectacular scenery and to capture it properly I'm going to need a wide angle lens to do it justice. The Hasselblad XCD 20-35E has a maximum aperture of f/3.2 at 20mm but I'll be shooting most of my landscapes at f/11.
I take you to visit Vestrahorn, Brúarfoss, a glowing mountain and the most spectacular canyon I've ever seen. The new 20-35E gets punished with flying sand and torrential rain but how will it cope with these challenging conditions?
Nothing is perfect though is it? Of course, I have a couple of gripes with this new ultra-wide zoom lens from Hasselblad and I'm not afraid to tell you.
Will this new lens succumb to the brutal elements of Iceland and will Amanda take offense at being snubbed? Does the brolly keep the camera dry and do I really need to focus stack this image or can I capture it in one frame?
There's really only one way to find out.
