Black Swan State Theatre Company of WA is celebrating national treasure Ray Lawler’s 99th birthday on Saturday 23 May at 7.30pmWST with a free live stream of the much-loved play Summer of the Seventeenth Doll staged in 2018 at the Heath Ledger Theatre.

Set in 1950’s working class Melbourne, 'The Doll’ revolves around the events of the seventeenth summer when two mates, on yet another ‘layoff’ season, come back to ‘live it up’ in the city with their girlfriends. However, this summer, things begin to change.

The one-off live stream will be available to watch from the comfort of your own home. Join us in your best theatre-going dress with a glass of wine or in your best PJ's with a cup of tea to toast Ray on his birthday.
