The Litany Against Fear, from Dune, read in Middle English. The medieval and science fiction worlds collide.
The world of Arrakis is a distant one, but it contains echoes of our own. And as a student of both science fiction and medieval literature, I wondered what it would sound like if the Litany Against Fear had been written and recorded in Middle English, the language of Chaucer and Gower. This is the result: a litany that is faintly familiar, like an echo of a forgotten world.
