Welcome to our first travel vacation video, 'The 5 Day Trip That Made Us Love RENO'! In this video, we take you on our journey through our recent 5-day trip to Reno, Nevada. As first-time visitors, we were unsure of what to expect, but by the end of our vacation, we had fallen in love with the city. We had such a mixed bag of opinions and feedback about Reno from friends and other's who have been there.
From the vibrant midtown/downtown area to the beautiful surrounding mountains, there was plenty to see all throughout Reno. When we realized it only took 10-15 minutes to get from one side of the city to another, we realized how it got the "biggest little city in the world" nickname.
We spent plenty of time along the Truckee River Walk, a beautiful walking path that winds its way through the heart of the city. Along the way, we checked out plenty of, amazing coffee spots, local shops, delicious restaurants and great public art installations including some from Burning Man.
We also took some time to explore the natural beauty that surrounds Reno. We visited Lake Tahoe, which was incredible to experience during the winter. We were unable to stay for long but we're glad we got to see it. Additionally, we spent some time visiting Donner Lake & Truckee, CA which was only 30ish minutes outside of Reno.
We stayed in this great AirBNB in Reno, it was a beautifully renovated 1 bedroom 1 bathroom guest house. It was located in an ideal neighborhood right in the heart of midtown, close to a bunch of restaurants and shops, downtown and the Truckee River. We really felt like we were in the heart of the city. Reasonably priced! Not sponsored, but we highly recommend it! The hosts were awesome!

For the trip we rented a BMW on Turo for a week and it was amazing! It was fun to drive and had a lot of cool features like heated seats, sunroof, navigation, and a great sound system. In the winter this was such a warm and comfortable car to cruise around Reno & Tahoe in. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a sporty and comfortable car for a weekend or longer trip. The owner was great with communication and very friendly. Great price for the amount of car you're getting. Also not sponsored, but recommending!
