Feeding and nutrition on a long open water swim are key to being properly fuelled. Taking in the correct levels of energy-giving food to complete the challenge can also assist recovery. Having looked into it, I have realised that I have been massively under-fuelling for my long training swims, so I decided to test different types of carbohydrate-heavy food and try different ways of carrying the snacks (fuel)
