When it comes to winter fly fishing, I like to use something red. One midge pattern that I used in past years has been the ruby red midge. This year to add to that collection I am tying something much simpler. The blood midge. Similar in size and color, but much faster to tie. One of my favorite things about this midge is the use of the micro red tubing. The micro tubing gives that more realistic look and feel to the fly. I hope you enjoy. Tightlines!
