Metric unit conversion between units of time. Conversions shown is between days (day), hours (h), minutes (min), seconds (s), milliseconds (ms), microseconds (μs) and nanoseconds (ns).
The arrows in green give the conversion between hours and seconds in one step which is useful for problems that involve conversion between kilometres per hour (km/h) and metres per second (m/s). i.e. 3600s = 1h

The conversion between seconds, minutes, hours, and days is based on the relationships:
1 minute = 60 seconds
1 hour = 60 minutes = 3600 seconds
1 day = 24 hours = 1440 minutes = 86,400 seconds
To convert between these units, you can use the following conversion factors:
- To convert seconds to minutes, divide the number of seconds by 60.
- To convert minutes to hours, divide the number of minutes by 60.
- To convert hours to days, divide the number of hours by 24.
And, of course, you can reverse these processes to convert from larger to smaller units:
- To convert days to hours, multiply the number of days by 24.
- To convert hours to minutes, multiply the number of hours by 60.
- To convert minutes to seconds, multiply the number of minutes by 60.
Here are a few examples:
1. **Seconds to Minutes:**
minutes = seconds / 60
2. **Minutes to Hours:**
hours = minutes / 60
3. **Hours to Days:**
days} = hours / 24
4. **Days to Hours:**
hours} = days * 24
5. **Hours to Minutes:**
minutes = hours * 60
6. **Minutes to Seconds:**
seconds = minutes * 60
These conversions are useful when working with different units of time in various contexts, such as physics, astronomy, and everyday timekeeping.
