Having reached the easternmost point of Anatolia, the journey continues south.
In this second chapter we travel the pass that leads to Mount Nemrut: a magnificent place, UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can see colossal statues and the tumulus - tomb of Antiochus I of Commagene.
We spend the night in Malatya but not before having bought dried apricots, a specialty of the area.
The next day the wheel points west. We reach Cappadocia in the evening and here we stop for a few days.
Tourist Cappadocia offers much off the beaten track: rock formations, breathtaking panoramic points and... even rain.
But the most important thing is to see the hot air balloons. There are dozens of them. They light up in the morning sky and, from the ground, they create pure magic.
