This simulation of a hypothetical eruption of Mammoth Mountain, California, is an excellent example of relating a physical event to model forecasts. The three HYSPLIT model forecasts are timed to the physical event shown in the simulated eruption. The 3D simulation was developed by COMET's 3D graphic artist, Steve Deyo.
