The iconic Paddle Steamer Waverley was built in 1946, and is renowned as the world's last seagoing vessel of its type.
On 31st August 2024, it steamed into the River Dart estuary to join the Dartmouth Regatta. It was escorted by Kingswear Castle, Britain’s last coal powered river Paddle Steamer and River Dart resident, built in 1924.
