An under-construction railway bridge collapsed in Sairang, Mizoram, resulting in the loss of at least 17 workers. Several others were injured. The catastrophe occurred during construction work on Wednesday around 10 am. With over 30 individuals present at the site during the collapse, fears of additional casualties persist as rescue efforts are actively underway. Mizoram's Chief Minister, Zoramthanga, expressed profound sorrow for the lives lost and the suffering caused by the accident.
