Might dump 3kw on it to see how it goes if there is any interest, leave a comment :)
Hopefully this can shed some light online to anyone looking at picking one of these up, they truly generate Inverted Pure Sine wave power like the box suggests which is quite impressive to me to be honest!
Seems near impossible to find info about these online
I don't know how realistic the 3.3kw power rating is, and I'm not planning to run it over 2kw so this is a 2kw test only, though it seems that it handles that just fine with plenty room to spare!
Remember that with generators, you want to run them monthly for an hour to ensure fuel doesn't sit and eat the lines, carb, etc, change the fuel when it gets old and change/check oil when required. this is especially important with these cheapo ones as parts can be impossible to come by!
When storing, don't forget to turn off the fuel valve and allow the carb to drain, don't have any electronics plugged in while doing this as it can damage the generator head

ALDI (Ferrex) 3300w Generator
$400 New
Advertises "Pure Sinewave"
Testing only 2kw out of it as I don't really
trust it for 3kw rating it implies
(I assume it is a "MAX" rating, like how
computer power supplies are rated "MAX"
& "Continuous" output)

I don't have an Oscilloscope to test
the output of this generator in a
scientific fashion but I've had it plugged
into an APC UPS with approx 300-600w load
and the UPS has no complaint about it's
output
I am impressed by this generators output, it is
true sine wave as advertised it seems!
Sounds like the biggest problem with these is
finding parts, and the capacitors in the
inverter board are potted & not of the highest quality
Obviously when it's impossible to find parts,
this can be a big problem!
