Tomorrow is D-Day for the City of Joburg and Diepkloof hostel residents in Soweto. Last week the city's Mayor, Kabelo Gwamanda asked residents to give the City until Monday, to begin providing much needed services in the area. He committed to the immediate resumption of the electrification of the Diepkloof Hostel in Soweto. Gwamanda also said additional taps and ablution facilities will be made available to the community. This after they protested for three weeks over a lack of those services and inadequate housing.
