This video explains how to use connection points in Microsoft Visio. The tutor covers how to create a point to point and a shape to shape connection using the connector tool. The tutor goes on to explain how to add additional connection points to shapes. The final part of the tutorial is how to change the connection point properties to inward/outward so that shapes can be glued together and then move together as one shape. This last feature is useful when using free drawing shapes, which do not have any pre-set connection points.
