A rare black 1964 Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ-1, one of 112 built, arriving at Macchinissima II at the Los Angeles River Center and Gardens. Introduced at the 1962 Turin Auto Show, the first-generation TZ (Tubolare Zagato) was based on the Alfa Romeo Giulia and featured a tubular spaceframe chassis and aluminum bodywork by Zagato. This example, chassis no. 016, participated frequently in Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) racing and was owned and driven by Nadeene Brengle who finished second in class at the 1966 American Road Race of Champions (ARRC). It was later driven at the 1996 Monterey Historics and displayed at the 1996 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The car was restored and returned to its 1966 SCCA condition and livery under its current owner, who then displayed it at the 2019 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance and participated in the Tour d'Elegance of which it was one of the poster cars.
