As the sixth phase of polling in the state of West Bengal begins, locals of Indira Colony in Raiganj staged a protest as a COVID-19 ward inside Raiganj Medical College was converted into a polling booth. Polling had begun for 43 constituencies for the sixth phase of the ongoing assembly elections in Bengal today. The residents of the colony set up a roadblock for hours yesterday protesting against setting up a polling booth in the COVID-19 centre as they worry about getting infected with coronavirus on polling day.
