Sight fishing BIG cutthroat trout in shallow water using tiny dry/dropper rigs. This was definitely one of the tougher situations to catch trout...skinny water, low flows, and bright blue bird days. These conditions required a stealthy approach, accurate casts to specific fish with long leaders (13ft), light tippet (5 to 6x) and small flies (sz18-20 dries and nymphs). Part 7 of the 8-week road trip thru Idaho, Wyoming and Colorado.
