Freddy’s Dad’s a farmer down in Farmville VA
Freddy helps to tend the sheep after school every day
Walking in the fields with his four legged friends
Thinking ‘bout adventure where the fun never ends
Then he got an idea, thought he’d have some fun
Freddy’s voice: If I shout, “there’s a Wolf’s Here!” will everybody come?
Don’t cry wolf – cause they will believe it
Don’t cry wolf – and run they will come
Don’t cry wolf – cause once you deceive them
Don’t cry wolf – the damage is done
Freddy’s Dad said, Son listen to me
Playing pranks on people is just no way to be
Someday Son you’re gonna need someone
But they won’t believe you when the damage is done”
Then he got an idea, thought he’d have more fun
Freddy’s voice: If I shout, “there’s a Wolf’s Here!” will everybody come?
Don’t cry wolf – cause they will believe it
Don’t cry wolf – and run they will come
Don’t cry wolf – cause once you deceive them
Don’t cry wolf – the damage is done
And then the Wolf appeared, Freddy came undone.
Freddy’s voice: No REALLY, there’s a Wolf’s Here!”
Hoping everybody’d come!
He cried wolf – Can you will believe it?
He cried wolf – He thinks we will come
He cried wolf – Someday he’ll mean it
He cried wolf – but the damage is done
