This extremely well curated 11-CD set ("Manuel de Falla: The Spanish Soul") contains all of Falla's major works--several times over. After all, he only wrote a handful of pieces, but all of them are gorgeous, polished to perfection, and this set features performances by superb, mostly mid-20th century artists closely associated with them: names such as Alicia de Larrocha, Gonzalo Soriano, Victoria de los Ángeles, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Ernesto Halffter, and even Falla himself. You can't go wrong here, plain and simple.
