The Supreme Court of Justice in Abuja upheld the election of Uba Sani as Kaduna State Governor, after dismissing an appeal by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Mohammed Ashiru. The apex court ruled that the election petitions tribunal and the Appeal Court were right to dismiss Ashiru's appeals as lacking merit. The PDP and its candidate challenged the election, claiming it was marred by corruption and noncompliance with the Electoral Act 2022.
