US President Donald Trump has ordered a full withdrawal of American troops from Syria and declared victory against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in the country.
The decision has surprised his foreign allies and angered some members of his Republican party. About 2,000 troops are expected to leave within 100 days.
