TVS Radeon Overview
The TVS Radeon comes with a very conventional commuter motorcycle design, with a bunch of retro styling elements, which make the bike stand out among its peers. TVS offers the bike in four colour options – Pearl White, Royal Purple, Golden Beige, and Metal Black, which further accentuate the bikes classic design. Overall, the TVS Radeon comes with a sturdy metal design with a bunch of chrome element, the most notable one being the thick chrome bezel for the headlamps. The bike also features a stylish petrol tank with subtle lines and a ribbed tank pads for thigh grip. Also unlike most bikes, the Radeon comes with a dark tan seat, which is said to be the widest in the segment and offers good cushioning. The Radeon’s engine too gets this styling champagne gold cover with TVS branding, and at the rear, the bike set a metal grab rail with an integrated carrier.

The TVS Radeon is currently one of the most feature-rich offerings in this space compared to its rivals. TVS is offering several segment-first features with the Radeon like USB charging port, a side stand indicator with a beeper, and a synchronised braking technology. Other features include daytime running lamps, an electric self-starter, a maintenance-free battery, and for female pillions who like to sit sideways, the bike also comes with a side pillion handle with a hook. The Radeon also comes with a flexible side indicator mounting for improved wear and tear, a full-chrome exhaust pipe, black alloy wheels, and a smart-looking instrument cluster with eco and power mode lights.

The TVS Radeon is powered by a new 109.7 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled Dura Life engine tuned for 8 bhp at 7000 rpm and 8.7 Nm of peak torque available at 5000 rpm. The motor is paired with a 4- speed gearbox. The high capacity air filter and projected spark plug aid in better acceleration, while the intelligent ignition system and an anti-friction coated piston, which is aimed at improved fuel efficiency. The TVS Radeon is underpinned by an all-new single cradle tubular frame as well, which uses the engine as a stressed member.
TVS Radeon Wheels, Tyres, Brakes & Suspension
The TVS Radeon runs on 18-inch, five-spoke alloy wheels shod with 90/90 section tubeless tyres on both ends. Braking duties for the Radeon are handled by a 130 mm drum brake up front and a 110 mm unit at the back as standard, with segment-first synchronised braking technology. The TVS Radeon comes with a telescopic oil damped front suspension, and a 5 step adjustable hydraulic shock absorber.

The TVS Radeon is offered in India in only one variant and the bike, which is priced in India at Rs. 48,400 (ex-showroom Delhi). In India, the Radeon rivals the likes of the Hero Splendor Plus, Honda CD 110 Dream DX, and Baja Platina, and all four bikes.
Hero Splendor Plus Overview
The Splendor is probably the oldest commuter bike sold in India as it was launched in 1994. Till date, the sales figures of this bike clock in millions per year. Over the years, Splendor Plus has become stylish and it comes with a decent amount of features. It comes powered by the 97.2cc air-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine that churns out 8.24bhp of power and 8.05Nm of torque. The bike is available in six colour schemes - Candy Red, Hi Granite Blue, Cloud Silver, Palace Maroon, Black with Silver and Black with Purple. It competes with Bajaj Discover 100.
