One might hesitate to make judgments about societies far removed from our time and place, but the blood lust of these Native American cultures must be condemned. At the same time, one can not ignore similar tendencies in our own coarsening culture. Abundance can lead to boredom and an adventurism that invites conflict, even a fascination with death and what (if anything) lies beyond.
