When I look back at my fishing adventures I rarely think of big fish I have caught. Sure, there are those once in a lifetime fish that you will remember forever, but what sticks with me more is how those adventures made me feel. Memories of time spent the right way, in wild places, with passionate people, is what will always keep me coming back for more.

This land based adventure along the South Taranaki Coast is one of those adventures. Having the opportunity to team up with a couple of Kiwi legends who have surfcasting in their blood, and getting to explore their backyard where they have shared so many memorable adventures, is what fishing is all about to me.

Throw a few memorable fish in there and you have the perfect recipe for an epic New Zealand Surfcasting adventure!
